Child Dedication

Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to express heartfelt thanks for the son or daughter God has given and to give that child back to the Lord for His help to raise and protect. 

Winnipeg South

Part 1: Class
  • Scheduled approximately 2 weeks before the Sunday Dedication Celebration
  • About 1.5 hours long
  • Mandatory in order to have child dedicated
  • Recommended that both parents be in attendance
Part 2: Personal Family Celebration
  • 10:00 – 11:00 AM on the day of dedication.
  • A Celebration and Reception time for the families of the child being dedicated to invite grandparents, relatives, siblings, and close friends
  • Each family will be given a few minutes to speak a blessing, prayer, or scripture over their child in front of the group
  • The pastor will then pray for each child individually
  • There will be refreshments served
Part 3: Church Family Child Dedication
  • Formal Child Dedication will take place during the 11:25 AM service
  • Parents and child will come on stage where the pastor will have them respond to a set of questions on raising their child in the way of the Lord. The congregation will respond to questions on how they will support the families being dedicated.

Bronx Park

Part 1: Contact the Pastor
  • The Pastor will connect with you in regards to the details.
  • Location: On the phone or after the morning service
Part 2: Personal Family Celebration
  • 10:00AM – 10:45 AM on the day of dedication.
  • A Personal Celebration and Reception time for the families of the child being dedicated to invite grandparents, godparents, siblings, close friends.
  • Each family will be given a few minutes to speak a blessing or prayer over their child in front of the group.
  • The pastor will then pray for each child individually.
  • There will be refreshments/snacks served.
  • Location: Basement Fellowship Hall
Part 3: Church Family Child Dedication
  • Formal Child Dedication will take place during the 11:00 AM service
  • Parents and baby will come on stage, pastor will have them respond to a set of questions, congregation will respond to a question and then families will sit down.
  • Should take only about 5 minutes
